Our personal accounts are currently available for individuals who are citizens or residents of the EEA (European Economic Area) and Switzerland. This includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
We open personal accounts remotely, in 1-5 business days. You will only need to fill out a short online application form, which will not take more than 10 minutes. Once received, your application will be processed by our team; we might reach out to you to confirm a few details, if necessary. As soon as all the checks are done, your account will be ready for use.
To open a personal account you will have to submit the following information: full name, proof of address, a quick identity check via video.
To use our services you must be at least 18 years old.
Payment cards are only available to Payella account holders. To order one, please fill out a card order form.
Business
Our business accounts are currently available for entrepreneurs whose businesses are registered and have a physical presence in the EEA (European Economic Area) and Switzerland. This includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
We open business accounts remotely, in 1-7 business days (given that there are no complications). You will only need to fill out a short online application form, which will not take more than 10 minutes. Once received, your application will be processed by our team; we might reach out to you to confirm a few details, if necessary. As soon as all the checks are done, your account will be ready for use.
To open a business account you will have to submit the following information: full name, proof of address, a quick identity check via video. We will also need some essential company information: name, registered address, incorporation details, a short description of the nature and geography of the activities performed, and information about the primary shareholders and directors, who will also be subject to an identity check. As your application is being reviewed, we may contact you to confirm a few details about your business.
Before opening your business account, we need to confirm the details of the directors and primary shareholders of your company. This policy is in line with the standard “Know Your Customer” (KYC) procedure, which helps us verify the identity of our customers. We will request information about the individuals who own more than 25% of the cumulative shares of your company. These shareholders and directors will need to provide a high-quality photo of an official ID, which is valid for at least the next three months. You can upload the documents on their behalf or ask them to perform the ID check themselves. Please keep in mind that additional documents might also be requested.
Payella is subject to rigorous standards, controls and procedures under the applicable legislation. The regulations set by the Bank of Lithuania, which is directly regulated by the European Central Bank, require that all customer funds are deposited and stored in segregated accounts with the institution. We have no authorization to invest or perform any other type of similar activity with your money, which means that it is always instantly accessible and available for withdrawal.
